Funny thing is I was bleeding from both of my arms from her attacking me, but the cops never even asked for my side of the story. Just asked her what happened and arrested me.
Charged with a Class C misdemeanor Assault by contact enhanced with family violence. Even though I was only 19 and unmarried, since we were living together I basically got charged as a wife beater and almost lost my right to guns. Fucked system, at least I was able to get the charge dropped.
