I've been in the alt scene since forever, and I haven't had issues teaching my significant others the truth about the world. Alt girls may be more open to learning uncomfortable truths, or maybe I naturally attract those that can handle it.
Whichever the case, stay true to yourself, don't lose yourself in another. You may not recognize the man in the mirror if you go changing for someone else.
All that said my wife doesn't preach right wing activism now. I've never had an "activist" girl. But my wife does align with my views for a strong white community and identity. Perhaps not playing into the red vs blue American politics was key. Getting her to understand the government is not there to help probably stopped a lot of fights before they started.
