i mean that it's specifically bad for stopping cats from fighting. it's plenty effective in all sorts of situations including other situations with kots. the problem however is that they see each other as threats, and punishing them in some way won't make them feel safe around each other so they'll almost always value investigating the danger and protecting themselves over whatever punishment you inflict unless you're beating the shit out of them
well they were always fighting on sight, but before i split them that was sometimes 2-3 times a day. now it happens once every few days at most
