the heat is one of the things i fear the most about japan. i don't think it'll be much worse than it is here especially since it's the same humid type of heat, but apparently air conditioning isn't common there. even worse when walking is a more regular way to get around

for example ur taught to say 私は名前です when in reality ur saying 名前と申します in almost every scenario. some tutor saying that adverbs should always be next to the modified verb isn't going to cripple them for life.
