NGMI, not a single game developer has been a good programmer, it's all about planning gameplay features and a story, the other side is creating assets, aka art and music. Anyone is just googling and copypasting coding solutions for any problems coming up, if the problem is unsolvable, everyone is just hiring a professional freelancer programmer for a one time job to fix it for them.
