everything that was done for the lulz in the name of 4chan was simply toxic, abusive herd behavior; oddly enough that's what gave us the userbase we have now.
We got local-news famous and then everyone who could operate a keyboard and modem thought they could be Anonymous™ and take down anything, because a website or two got a DDoS.
Then there was the NYPA thing, then /moot/ sold /everything/ ...
I don't miss the old anonymous. I miss the part where we never tried to use "anonymous" as our face, and just posted pictures and raged at each other for the absolute fucking hell of it.
