op I know your shitposting but I actually used anki (combined with listening and reading) to learn japanese to a level i'm happy with in just 2 years. heres my stats, 2000k of those cards are my mining deck I started a year after grinding all the basic kanjis in kanji tree/core2k, they are mostly obscure words or ones i struggled with. The other 5k cards are pitch accents and names, I don't take these as seriously and do them when I feel like it. combined with lots of watching anime, news, lectures, tv, youtube and reading visual novels and whatever I felt like Im satisified with my level. Pitch accent isnt a meme it will cement the words in your mind. Dont try and memorize them just skim through the cards and notice the common words and how each accent sounds with different particles.
