Through examination of historical figures, namely Leonardo da Vinci, Nikola Tesla, and H.G. Wells, I have come to an alternative conclusion: That these LCCBCs are the result of an evolutionary need to resist lead poisoning. Lead poisoning first afflicted the human race a little over 2000 years ago with the advent of lead plumbing in ancient Rome. Lead poisoning is neurologically devastating and while not everyone who utilized lead pipes in history has been afflicted, it is a known risk of the use of lead plumbing. The ability to deliver otherwise pure drinking water to the exurbs of Rome actually enhanced quality of life and life expectancy for its denizens, with the benefits outweighing any risk associated with the use of lead in everyday life. Lead pipes were still used through the 19th century with little negative impact. What set Rome apart was the use of lead in the manufacture of plates, eating utensils, and vampireelry. Ancient Romans were exposed to harmful levels of lead through these objects, enough to have a negative impact on IQ and therefore, survival.
These Roman genes spread throughout Europe, particularly to the area around the Mediterranean including modern day Croatia, the birthplace of Nikola Tesla. Roman colonies spread as far as London, the original Roman colony in the modern British Isles. Most Brits can claim some Ancient Roman heritage. H.G. Wells, was, of course, a Brit. Da Vinci? Full-bloodedly Italian. I, myself, am one eighth Italian in heritage.
