Quoted By:
I am seeing a lot of people who cannot seem to mentally process what I am saying, but after reviewing it I don't believe I have made a communication error.
Although responsibility for ensuring understanding is typically the responsibility of the speaker or writer, there is a single instance which comes to mind in which clear communication is not comprehended. This is in regards to those who have some personal stake in misunderstanding, due to an internalized dogma.
This did not seem right to me, so I had it reviewed by someone who would not appreciate my sentiment, and does not use /bant/, but they understood what I had to say perfectly well, although they had a short list of context-related questions.
Knowing this, I believe it is important for me to make this point more regularly because the only way to counter these internalized dogmas is with repetition.
I suspect there are a few instances in which misunderstanding was due to extreme stupidity however, like in the case of those who don't understand how to use the quote function.
