I think I just figured something out. Between men and women. See, I'm kinda teasing/not really upset about you going to new years stuff. Okay I am, in the sense that I dislike it, but not super dismayed over it. And I'm doing that because I like you and I like spending time with you. That's the message I'm trying to convey. But I just realized...that me acting overly upset about it is actually a stupid way of trying to convey that. Because it probably just makes you feel guilty and frustrated with me rather than appreciated.
but at the same time, I actually am all "ah SHIT" about it. So that's my first impulse is to express that rather than the deeper message behind the "ah SHIT" thing.
