>>16322395if you grew up in destitution with no parents and your friends were all criminals and shit well the law still puts you in jail if you commit a crime even though basically everyone in that situation would have grown up to do the exact same thing, maybe there's a distinction between guiltiness in the eyes of the law and whether one can be fully responsible for their actions, like maybe we can draw a distinction between whether someone is "fully responsible" as in largely their own fruit and whether someone is "culpable" meaning they are "legally" responsible for the actions they took and yeah "fully responsible" is still messy because someone's upbringing and environment and everything has a huge impact on people and the choices they decide to make but whatever, if you eat babies the law would say you are guilty and culpable of eating babies, but if demons or anything else hardcore influenced you to do it then maybe you're less morally responsible? but idk because everything is always influencing you, you don't really exist without the influence of the world around you, i mean i think there is some kind of you underneath all that but idk
