>>16560329>in the Japanese version of Deus Ex, the Dragon's Tooth does 50 damage.Nevermind that, the weirdest change is, I said it before but whatever, that the text colors NPCs and JC have in conversations got their places changed around.
Just why? What is the purpose? The same thing as I presumed before, that they just needed to fill some quota for changes to make? But why that? Aaa.
I also still can't think of any reason for them to be disabling the note function. Were they just afraid of people typing in inappropriate things? That has to be it. What the fuck.
Do Japanese people not have Notepad on their computers, because there's the chance that somebody might write bad words in it? If not, then what sliver of sense does it make to disable notes in the game?
And it was kind of important, too. By mid-game or so, your notes do clutter up. Some people just like to delete the unnecessary ones and condense it, instead of having to scroll through a sea of garbage every time they wanna look back on an old code or whatever.
It's not like any player can't simply tab out and keep their passwords and whatnot on an external notepad. Or just a piece of paper. All you're doing is inconveniencing people, and potentially making them waste a piece of paper and pen ink. What a scummy change, holy shit.
Also, okay, maybe I'll look past not being allowed to create notes, but why not being able to delete them? Seriously. What harm comes from letting the player discard the notes they don't want? I wanna know so bad. Are Japanese people not allowed to delete e-mails, because it's dishonorable or something? Watafak.
It also doesn't make sense in that, they were trying their hardest to make the game easier for Japs to play. You take 40% less damage, energy reduction is halved, the Dragon's Tooth is even more overpowered, and you actually do 4x damage with all weapons on easy mode.
