none of that has to do with the expansion's design. getting farmable gear and learning to play your class competently is on you. finding a good guild can be rough sometimes, but ultimately is on you to do. if you're staying with a guild that's actively taking gear from you and then benches you for not having good enough gear then that is your fault for staying with that guild.
random drop legendaries were a bad system, but literally none of this is because of RNG. anyone who good a good legendary, had gear funneled into them because of it, and then stayed in progression only because of that SHOULD have been cut from progression and SHOULDN'T have gotten any of that gear, but were handed a good situation that they did not deserve through a combination of luck and incredibly stupid guild management.
