Without Christianity, what would have united a German, a Pole, an Italian, etc . against the Ottomans?
Without Christian monks, most of the culture and literary works of Roman and Greek civilization would have been lost to the ages and Europe would have been stuck in the Dark Ages for a much longer time. Charlemagne wouldn't have united most of Western Europe under his banner if he hadn't warred against the pagan Saxons in the name of Christ and his own political goals. I could go on but I think I've made my point already.
