And no, children DO lie and invent stories all the time. Especially if they're smart, creative and imaginative. Ask anyone who works with young children: teachers, social workers, kindergarten workers. They will lie about anything and everything. For good reason or no reason at all. You know the only people I meet who DON'T think children can lie? Deluded parents who think their wonderful offspring can do no wrong. I have to deal with these idiots everyday.
In fact they made a WHOLE FUCKING FILM about exactly this situation. It's about how witch-hunts, mob mentality and complete disregard for logic and facts lead to this kind of stupid behaviour. You are all completely insane. You are talking about calling in various law enforcement agencies and making some VERY serious accusations on the basis of an uncorroborated and completely mundane children's story.
