A lot of the time they're just trying to be hard. They think they have a shield based on societal norms so they think they can act high and mighty without proving themselves. They'll say "What's up homie" or some other drivel, I just keep staring until they walk away or until contact can be made no more. Rarely do they ever act, as most men these days are pussies and don't fight regardless. Almost every fight I've "started" for years ends with the guy backpedaling. Ones that don't usually mean they have an advantage that you can exploit and as soon as they lose it they stop wanting to fight. It's quite sad actually.
