I was born in the early 90s, hung out with the kids who wore black in middle/high school. Honestly, the emos were little faggots. We only kept their girls around because they were emotionally fragile and would put out as a result, really important at that age. But they were all depressed, shitty, bipolar messes. After high school, they all turned into SJWs in college and beyond.
I grew up and became a normal (ish) adult. The grown men still fetishizing this time period likely never got to actually experience it and desperately want to re-live their adolescence as a more popular person.
