A man steals money out of a cash register. There are no witnesses, no video recordings, no evidence that he committed the crime. Later, he is arrested and brought to trial. The prosecutor insists the man is guilty of the crime because he was confirmed by a video camera on the outside of the building to be the only one to have gone inside the building and be present inside the building when the register was being robbed. However, since there is absolutely no evidence the man actually took the money from the register, the judge rules the man innocent, and he suffers no penalty for stealing the money.
Is the man guilty of stealing money out of the cash register?
