I live in the transition zone of Arizona (lots and lots and lots and lots of mountains, like 667 mountain ranges in my one county and the two counties neighboring have 600+ each as well, all of which are over 1500m elevation) and contrary to popular belief snow is a regular yearly consistent occurrence in this mountainous section of Arizona. But this year so far, the usual winter rains that sweep in from the Pacific and deliver snow, have done a horseshoe, going up north towards the Midwest and then swooping back south again towards the south which is typical of la nina winters, and so we haven't had snow yet. Pic related is from last winter around this time of year (the normal where I live is about 5-10 inches of snow per winter usually).
