NCPN: Declaration on the fall of the Dutch government and the announcement of elections ID:9dqEl4is No.18309230 View ViewReport Quoted By:
Statement of the Central Committee of the New Communist Party of the Netherlands (NCPN) on the fall of the cabinet and the announcement of elections:
On 7 July, it was announced that the Rutte IV cabinet was going to resign. This happened mainly under the pretext of disagreement on the issue of so-called family reunification, as part of the broader asylum policy on which parties could not agree.
The real reasons for the cabinet's fall have to do with developments that necessitate reshuffling the cards in the political system. New elections to the Lower House will take place on 22 November, with the aim of forming a new government to continue the social breakdown in the service of capital and thus against the working class. For the working class, the prospect of a better future lies not in the election result, but in the struggle of the working class and the strengthening of its party, the NCPN.
