Highly intelligent people tend toward being religious because the evidence for a created world is more obvious to them. The obviousness of reality doesn't allow them to rationalize God away. However, some of them will choose to side with evil, prefering to extend their own life at the expense of others, ultimately failing and going to hell because the Devil destroys his own.
