Example’s:
Someone is advertising the most delicious burger ever made. You try it, and it‘s only ok. “Most delicious burger my ass!”
You get into an argument with the Walmart cashier and the manager gets involved. You say the cashier was being rude. She denies it, exclaiming “being rude, my ass!”
It can also be shortened to not include the subject at hand, and “my ass” used as a stand alone phrase to proclaim disbelief, similar to the drawn out pronunciation “sheeeiiit.”
Examples:
“Yes, Tyrone, you IS the father of my baby!”
“My ass!”
Notice how in that example “my ass” could just as easily been preceded with “father” or replaced by “sheeeiiit.”
