So can anyone fill me in on what’s going on here?
There’s a corporation called SEELE that secretly wants humanity to merge into one being. Nerv exist to fight angels but secretly supports SEELE only because the owner of Nerv wants to merge with his wife. There are these two girls, both are cute but only one can be the best.
Do I have this right?
I mean if the angels WANT instrumentality to happen then why do they bother fighting them? In the movie is turns out both the humans (or at least owners of SEELE and NERV and angels want instrumentality)

I don’t really understand completely yet.. why do they fight the angels? SEELE wants instrumentality.
