>>9392074So you would say having a lot of money is on par with being an attention whore?
They're both equally bad..? That makes no sense.
>I don't even understand why you're asking this questionBecause saying "the reason attention whoring is bad is because it makes your ego big" is facetious.
I've never in my life heard someone use someone's richness as an insult. Yet, people use "attention whore" as an insult.
Wanting to be paid attention to is bad, but being paid actual money is okay. Even if both of them lead to having a big ego. Explain that. That makes ZERO sense.
Having human interaction is biological NEED.
>an you assure yourself that you are fully knowledgeableNo, absolutely not. No one is fully knowledgeable about anything. That being said, I come from a family full of mental illness. My mom's side of the family has lot of dissociative disorders, and my dad's side has lots of "big ego" issues. I've seen both sides of the coin. I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt social isolation is MUCH worse than over stimulation.
Eventually you have to come down off your high horse. Your ego will be so big that it cannot sustain itself. Your actions will lead the people around you to leave. Then that ego will deflate and you'll be left with sadness.
Whereas, if your serotonin levels are decreased due to social isolation your will take more actions to isolate yourself. And you now have a perpetual downward spiral. All of your actions will lead to further isolation. Most people will choose suicide over that.
>>9392083>the center of attention in a group dynamic doesn't have to be a person. It doesn't always have to be a person. But, it will eventually be a person. No matter what kind of group of friends you hang out with, there is one friend that is primary the focus of attention. Social structures have hierarchies. A group of friends is a social structure.
