>>21345051There is absolutely no way natgas is being phased out. Billions are being invested in LNG infrastructure globally. Natgas is omnipresent in North America. In fact, if the peak oil meme ends up being true that will mean those wells will only get gassier.

And the WCSB in Canada could theoretically supply the entire globe's energy needs for a decade, so if by some miracle natural gas runs out on the other side of the border Canada will easily supply the market many many many times over. Natgas is literally everywhere in the US and Canada shales. It's quite similar to coal resources in the way that it's actually difficult to conceptualize just how much there really is.
Then there's of course the offshore gas resources in places like Russia and Qatar and what have you. Gas is everywhere.
