It occurs to me that my time spent on 4chan gave me a warped sense of how people are, in the sense that, since things are anonymous here and there's no upcummies to be gained, the people here are way more genuinely nice than the average person. The average person is more like Reddit.
People will be more overtly hostile here as well, but that's where it stops. It's not like most other situations where there's a level of covert malice that is more problematic because it's masked.
