Do you know what's the difference between Fascism and National Socialism? It's the race. Race is the basis of NS. And, well, Adolf Hitler is the creator of National Socialism as we know it. The guy who had told you that either was a Fascist or a shill, no offense.
The term Nazi is a Jewish creation to be a hate slur against national socialists. They can try but they can't "retake" or "reclaim" the term "nazi" because it wasn't theirs in the first place. It was invented by the Jew. The proper term is National-Socialist, or NS/Natsoc for short. Dr. Goebbels himself ridiculed the jewish term "nazi" in his book "Nazi-Sozi". I understand if you think racial segregation is bad, or the whole race theory itself is racist, thats your opinion. but calling people Nazi's is not a good insult that makes any sense unless just a vague way of claiming someone is a "racist".
