anyone can see the dip of the horizon. the horizon dips below eye level, this is the curve. no models or calculations required. though if you do use some math you can calulate the diameter of the earth using the dip of the horizon. i show flatters this but they don't understand what eye level is, why eye level is 90 degrees, and why the water level in the image is there to show eye level, somehow they just don't get it. if the camera was tilted to disort the image you would see the surface of the water in the bottle but instead you see the water at a straight on 90 degree angle. what is hard about this to understand? they keep repeating that the horizon doesn't dip below eye level thus proving the world is flat, but it does, it does dip below eye level thus proving a curve.
