Just look at the statistics on lottery winners. Most of them go broke within something like 5 years, many have taken their own lives even.
If you are wealthy, it quickly becomes apparent that most people who play to be your friends, are not. They're shallow surface-level orbiters who hope that by being around you they will somehow be lucky enough to get apart of that kind of wealth. Ask any wealthy person. Their friends are few and far between. I make just shy of six figures for the first time in my life and it's already feeling this way.

Taxation does not inherently make anyone wealthy. When you are taxed, Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos do not take your taxed income. It goes to the "Government", aka a body of "The People". However, that of course does not mean people will not try to take advantage of that. And those that do, who would become wealthy ARE EXACTLY WHAT THE SCRIPTURE IS TALKING ABOUT.
