>>9506947it's got a weird initiative thing that's pretty hard to explain. basically instead of players going in turns that are over whenever they've decided that they're done players take turns playing one card at a time moving on to a new "round" refreshing mana and whatnot when both players pass their turns without doing anything. it's also worth noting that excluding specific cards that say otherwise players can only attack once every other round
there's also "burst" cards that don't end your turn when played and "fast" cards that do end your turn if you play them raw but can be played in response to other cards during combat and such
less uniquely but more interestingly imo there isn't a lot of hard removal or direct damage compared to magic or hearthstone. in those games when someone plays a big minion you just play your dedicated "kill a big minion" card but in this game your only real option is to play a bigger minion or use "combat tricks" to buff one of your small minions at the last moment. it's really nice because that means you can play decks that are centered around just a few creatures without having to need 50% of your deck being ways to keep that creature alive
