Cats are simply a more aesthetic choice for the modern man. Cats stand above subservient dogs and demand respect. A man who keeps are proud creature such as this are wholly aware of their own power and keep a cat as a foil and representative of himself. To own a cat is to project your own confidence in your power. A dog demands no respect and is simply made to be under you. There is nil to be conquered and by owning a dog you are simply showing a desire for a lesser being to make your own puny existence more important than it is.
