I'm sure trying to be a plumber in an economically depressed area is just as sure a recipe for disaster as trying any other job. I assume entering a trade that is known to be over-saturated is also not probably going to work unless you relocate. My hats off to all the tradesmen; if I wasn't lucky enough to land my current job I'd definitely look into it as well. Men weren't made to sit at desks and shuffle papers around all day while still hoping to keep their sanity and testosterone.
