IQ and being NPC are not actually correlated.
An episode of Ricky Gervais’s podcast had Karl wondering out loud whether most people think in their accent (as opposed to what they consider standard English), to which Ricky lambasted him for thinking in words, betraying himself as an NPC. Karl tests for an IQ of 86.
tldr even high IQ people can be NPC’s who just happen to be capable of complex operations, in the same way a computer would be.
