>>10207206so anyway remember shitposting about how yang was stupid offering $1000 a month to every american?
right now $2000 a month to around half of american is being proposed, on top of a minimum of $2400 a month to the unemployed (most likely much more), and $1200 to around a third of americans one time
none of this is fiscally sound. it's pure retardation. while the right wing is trying to get into dumbass semantical arguments, debate whether the thousands of deaths in new york are caused by a real disease or not, and whether this is the work of 5G towers or bill gates trying to institute the mark of the beast on all the people with a vaccine that also doesn't work, the far left is getting away with posting sweeping new amounts of welfare that everyone is taking in stride like we're all suddenly okay with becoming communists. everything i'm reading these days i feel like you could put Xi's laughing face next to, every post by people increasingly illiterate to numbers and charts and anything beyond a third grader's attempt at 5 words, and every conversation blind optimism in the face of the obvious fuckery going on
there's not going to be some catastrophic and exciting collapse like some people hope, it's just going to be an idiotic decay, one of poverty, wretchedness, and apathy. things will just slowly and painfully die, in the metaphorical and sometimes literal sense. it's all so pointless and stupid, and the time to be crying out against that is now and yet everyone is so accepting of defeat
