In the movie, the employees are shown to be competent at what they do even if what they do is is mundane/crazy. Including the Indian. Its a mostly white work environment, the programmers were male. Milton was the only one "incompetent" but was also insane and everyone knew he was icompetent which is why he got moved to the basement, the only reason he worked there was because he fell through the cracks when he was supposed to be fired.
Today, the main character would do nothing but fix the retarded programming written by women, diversity hires and endless pajeets, while being the lowest paid there. Hed have to go to forced meetings where they celebrate the LBGTQ+ that work there. Michael Bolton would get fired because he sent a private email where he misgendered some mtf tranny. Milton wouldnt be stuck in the basement and planned to be fired, he would be a nigger instead and promoted to the head of software development and be the highest paid programmer but behave exactly the same.
