>>11139737Do not go to a homeless shelter. You have options:
1. Sublets- They are usually cheaper than renting apartments and way more lenient on credit. You might have to share some space but you'd at least have a room to sleep.
2. Storage unit with air mattress. Just pay the night crew off and let them know you're not an addict (it helps if you show them a toxicology lab) and that your'e only using the place to sleep.
3. There are some hotels out there that are cheap enough that it's comparable to renting an apartment. They will be in shitty places but the security is better than a homeless shelter.
4. Church/Christian services. They usually know some people that could hook you up with a place to stay, provided you don't mind sitting in on services and are willing to work/help out around the grounds.
5. Elderly people. They often need assistance but can't afford the cost of hiring the labor, and would probably jump at the chance to have someone to take care of the all the work they're too old to do. And they might even cook for you and help you out in other ways.
Don't lose hope anon. There is always light, you just have to dig for it.
