parents read the news that in a country of 300 million, one kid got shit on during halloween, so that means my kid needs to be escorted during daylight, which isn't fun for the kid who's also brought up interacting socially with nothing but a screen and would rather just buy a new skin on Fortnite and get candy from walmart
I still decorate my home, complete with a 12 foot tall home depot skeleton, and its in a good neighborhood with kids, but I can't tell you a single time i've gotten a kid knocking or seen one dressed up
