Lexi watches as Kasumi glares at Duna while she orders a drink for herself. Then she approaches, locking eyes with Lexi, a smile on her face. She immediately realises what Duna is doing, and is all too happy to play along.
She smiles back, matching Duna’s gaze, then allows her eyes to divert enough to take in Duna’s spectacular physique from head to toe. “Why thank you for the kind words, Ms. Sands. I won’t deny, this gathering isn’t worthy of my presence, or yours for that matter. But this town is still fairly new to me, and there so much to see and experience. Both good and bad. And I’m an adventurous spirit by nature, you see.”
Then Kasumi slips in between Lexi and Duna. Lexi rolls her eyes. These two were polar opposites. But as much as she wishes to continue her conversation with Duna, or slap Kasumi around, she opts to silently sip her drink, and wait to see how Duna elects to respond to Kasumi’s trash talk.
