In the state-of-the-art luxury gym below the Divine Mansion, Colby Jefferson is training and preparing.
She will not be in the B1 tournament. None of the Divine Angels will be. Priscilla Divine is still the WWA World Champion, and the Divine Angels stand strong and united, but after their recent trials and hardships, such a risky and rigorous undertaking, however prestigious the prize, would risk inviting further trouble. As it was, it provided an excellent opportunity to scout the best that the WWA had to offer, and watch them push one another past the point of exhaustion; no doubt all of the competitors would be feeling it for months.
Beyond that, Colby's reasons for abstaining from the B1 were her own.
But that does not mean that Colby, and the other Divine Angels, do not have plans. Her body, which had been once again battered and wracked by Miss USA in their last meeting, had had weeks to heal. She had feared her victory was for naught, but Miss USA had no doubt been hurting too, and Colby had provided Priscilla Divine with valuable information about their opponent after that victory. Likely Priscilla would have won anyway; she IS the best wrestler in the world today. But Colby had helped to assure her victory, and she felt a little pride in that.
But Miss USA is not Colby's only rival with whom she has had an unsettled grudge. She was just the first in line. And while the B1 rages there will be time to settle other business in the ring.
Colby's mind races, and she pushes her body harder as she exercises, pushing through the screaming, burning strain in her muscles with determination that she will build her her strength and stamina to an all-time personal high.
