I still dream regularly with my gf from when I was 13 ten years later desu she was perfect and my obsession for her in my dreams is so strong that I see her walking around although the dream doesn't have to do with her.
She just walks and I know its her and I really try to not pay attention to her cos then the whole dream becomes focused on her and I get this overwhelming sense relief, love, and happiness unlike anything I've experienced and I wake up crying tears of happiness then just realize it was a dream. Lucid dreaming has helped, thankfully
