I counter with a picture of one of the northern regions of Pakistan, incredibly beautiful and green. Search "northern areas pakistan", "kashmir", or "gilgit-baltistan" on Google Images. If you have any friends or family here, I highly suggest you visit, beautiful places and safe enough.
