I'd recommend next time, start by chopping a small onion and saute that in some butter or olive oil, on medium heat for about 4-5 minutes with a pinch of salt, until they start to turn clear. Then add the beef with a pinch of salt, 2-3 pinches of pepper and a 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, and brown it on medium until it starts to develop some dark brown, almost crispy parts, and all the fat reabsorbs.
Then cook as normal, maybe sprinkle some paprika on top of the biscuits
