Rather, the best option is to try to imagine yourself as a third party simply observing your thoughts as they occur. The intrusive thoughts come, and you just watch. Try to examine every detail about the effects of these thoughts. Do they make me angry? Lustful? Why is that? This feeling rises, but it too shall pass, like all the others.
