>>14442092I feel that the main problem that hinders any country would be money/currency. If you go around the world, if the USA sanctions a country, it hurts them a lot. If a small tiny nation like say Cuba sanctions the USA, they're only hurting themselves. Its not like the USA is producing much of anything, they just have a better infrastructure for commerce and trade. Like a subway system where most trains have to go through a single station hub.
A nation with that much power is dangerous, like a the only person in the room with a machine gun and everyone else is unarmed. That's a lot of power using just money.
And with that kind of greed, those who are at the top will hinder technological progress. There was once a time in the early 90s that fully electric cars existed, but was then all destroyed the same year. Hundreds of billions of dollars for over 50 years for cancer research and 90% of it goes into paying the salaries and buildings of that. Now they're thinking of making a mix flu-covid combination so you have to pay for the vaccine using health insurance. There is no profit in the cure.
Greed is very powerful and has the ability to stop our civilization from growing.
