I have greatly overexaggerated the might of the french empire for chauvinistic reasons, but it is true that with the right leaders, or at least with a defense that doesn't let the germans go over the Ardennes, we would have won, even with great losses and a lot more time than what it takes for Pétain to run several miles away from the Germans. Or at least put up a fight that would have made Germany loose several years earlier.
Kek by the time Hitler came to power the german army could have been outpowered by Switzerland, and it stayed this way until we let him fund it way over the treaty of Versailles. Even with our shitty doctrines we just needed an early reaction to bitchslap Hitler back to art school.
Actually now that I think of it making a fair Versailles treaty could have prevented WW2 altogether and would be the smartest thing to do.
