Lexi’s mind begins to race. How could THIS have happened? Yes, she was a Grand-Daughter of The Foremother. And that meant that engaging in certain activities with human men, while having a very beneficial effect on her, was detrimental to their health. But Lexi never knew herself to be powerful enough to cause the death of a human with a single encounter. Usually only The Foremother herself, or her daughters were capable of causing such incidents.
Lexi sits on the edge of the bed and holds her face in her hands. How the hell would she explain a dead body in her room? If she were back home… well mum was no stranger to this happening, she knew how to handle it. But here Lexi was, in a strange town where her only family consisted of two cousins who were completely unaware that they could drain the life force from… oh fuck it who cares about them right now?

Lexi sobs bitterly. “Now I’ll n-never get to be famous. Because I’ll be locked in a prison with a bunch of u-ugly women a-and they’ll all h-hate me b-because I’m pretty and they’ll m-make my life a bloody living hell and The Foremother won’t lo-lo-love me anymore because I won’t be able to honour her by letting stupid men like you f-fu-fu-FUCK!”
Lexi screams in shock as a movement outside her window is followed by a knock on her door.
