>>11475996I recognize you Bulgarian Anon. You were in another Pagang Vs. Christian debate with a picture of either Zeus or Jove as the thread's thumbnail.
I remember you asking about henotheism.
Basically henotheism is the recognition of multiple deities but your worship only one. Like the trope of a warrior who is a pagan but only worships the warrior god is by definition a henotheist.
Some more forms of worship is Monolatry.
Monolatry is similair to monotheism but is between henotheism and monotheism.
Basically different deities do exist but should NOT be worshipped. Essentially but all faith into one because those other deities are either inferior, not to be trusted or something else. Enforces henotheism I'd say.
Good example is Atenism it recognized other deities but slowly banned worship of all other deities.
See it if angels were gods in christianity but you should never worship or venerate an angel.
Come to think of it when you look at how men men interacts with angels it is little to no different with gods.
Both have their own statues, some even get holidays dedicated after them specifically in honor to them, both have their own ways of being contacted in theurgy and both require some form of gift back to fullfill your needs atleast with the stories of angels I heard.
I remember this onw time my friend wanted to speak to an angel becaus of a long story I will tell later but he said in order for us to convince the angel to do this we need to give something in return to it.
