>>15441177Interestingly, the character (שָׁ) makes the difference between the Hebrew word for "heaven" and "waters". And this word actually means "there" or "place". When combined with the word for "waters" in this manner, it actually creates the effect of saying "the water over there, a great distance away". Or "the water in a very high place". As I've confirmed with at least 3 hebrew speakers, who were all very surprised to see this interpretation. They confirmed this for me.
This really gives credence to the idea that "heaven" in the hebrew tradition is really just a word for the firmament above our heads. A bad cosmology.
