>>9160174>misconception about "God" being a BeingMost personifications of deities is based on planetary worship. Seven celestial spheres are recognized as contributing forces throughout the "Creation" process. You may not know it, but each of these planets corresponds to a day of the week. Hence "Seven Days". Of the seven, they are separated into five and two. Monday through Friday are arranged in the order in which they first appeared in our sky, dating all the way back to a time "before" "time".
Prior to the moon crashing into our atmosphere, breaking apart the main landmass we now call "Pangaea", our planet did not rotate like it does today. Earth was a tidally locked satellite during this time. One side always faced whatever parent sphere we were orbiting at the time, while the other side, where all the land was situated, was facing away out into space. Not unlike the manner in which our moon orbits Earth today. You will see echoes of what I described about Earth in the topography of our moon, where the side facing in is more shallow, thus more likely to host a large body of water. There's a lot more to this one, but I'll cut short there to explain the "weekend".
So, back "in the beginning" our planet was not orbiting the same star that we do today. We were orbiting a red dwarf star. This star we now know as the planet, Saturn. As in Saturn's Day. This whole process of transformation was the story of how we came from one star, and safely made it to the next star, our new "Sun". Life existing before, during, and after these incredible events. This story gets retold every single week, yet none of us ever take the time to stop and appreciate the how or why.
Disclaimer ;)
The "Seven Days of Creation" don't end after the first few chapters of Genesis. Those lines are just a summary. The actual events unfold into the Book of Exodus. This tells the story of how Jupiter helped free us from the "bonds of Saturn", which did give rise to worship of the gas giant...
