>>1204638In our current capitalistic order you have dozens of corporations that produce and develop products in parallel. By merging the production capacity one can greatly improve the overall efficiency of the system by removing redundancies, the co-operation of R&D resources allows freeing up able personnel for other tasks. Not to mention the masses of people who are employed in marketing and propaganda such as that.
In a capitalistic society the fulfilment of the societies needs, especially a situation of abundance, leads to market crashes, witch in turn leads to waster production-potential, the closure of facilities and unemployment. By coordinating the production to match the needs of the population rather than focusing on upholding an artificial profit-bringing scarcity, not to mention erasing of the black hole of profit and capital-accumulation, we can input all excess towards expanding production even further and towards launching full-scale automation where-ever possible, guaranteeing further abundance. Currently corporations do not have the incentive to invest their income to its entire potential, as growing past a certain point it would ruin their business, as mentioned before.
